Quite simple really.
If you could bring back 1 player from your clubs past, which player would it be?

If you could bring back 1 player from your clubs past, which player would it be? duffman 25-01-2005, 19:54 Tough one this. One player who I never saw play was Keith Edwards, 171 goals in 293 starts, something the Blades could do with now. Euphraim (Jock) Dodds scored 128 goals in 203 games and was leading scorer for five successive seasons in the 1930's. A player from recent times who I have seen and would want back is Alan Kelly, a great keeper and leader of the back. Kelly in his prime would have been rarely beaten in the Championship. So many more but it would be one of those three and I just can't choose. Not as simple as you think Lickszz Lickszz 25-01-2005, 20:24 Don't get me wrong Duffman. I didn't think the answer was straight forward, far from it. I was referring to the question. If your team is united then Edwards is a good choice. A natural goal scorer with a record that anyone would be proud of. duffman 25-01-2005, 21:37 Keith Edwards the player, great! Keith Edwards Summariser on radio Sheffield, crap! He is to bias to the Blades at times, kind of how I would expect Warnock to be if he were commentating. But yes his record is a great one and after thinking about it I would choose him over Kelly and Dodds. ANGELUS 25-01-2005, 22:12 Either schmeichel or cantona at the minute. Probably schmeichel. Lickszz 25-01-2005, 22:14 What about George Best? Robbie Loving 25-01-2005, 22:21 mel rees (RIP) quality keeper, maybe woodward or currie, both players of great esteem and will always be a part of our heritage ANGELUS 25-01-2005, 22:24 Originally posted by Lickszz What about George Best? Strix 31-01-2005, 00:47 Can I have ante-post on this one? Gerrard. I'm certain we'll be bemoaning his departure next season (That's Stevie G for Liverpool, incase anybody's confused) igm1 31-01-2005, 06:55 Originally posted by Internetowl Di Canio - a real star and probably the best Wednesday player ever... Tony 02-02-2005, 12:26 I want to say Chrissie Waddle, but for the good of the club and his effectiveness on the whole field, and as we are only allowed 1 player, it's John Sheridan, and that foot on the ball with his head up looking for a punt. Mind you, Chris is the one that I most want to actually watch... a dropped shoulder here, a turn there... pure artistry! briggy1967 07-06-2005, 21:54 Di Canio............jeeez are u having a laff???? Did you never see Waddle or Sheridan play? For the older Wednesdayites like me it would have to be T.C (terry curran),Rodger Wylde (a god) or Gary Bannister spyro2000 07-06-2005, 22:09 Some very good players mentioned so far.
