You may remember my blond moment from a few weeks ago when I bought my new Dumbo's Merry and Pippin home and then realised pippin was a girl. Well they found a way and Pippin is now living in her birthing quarters looking as if she might give birth to a satsuma.

Merry still has a couple of weeks to go until he is neutered bless his tiny feet and is enjoying his daily play sessions with Pippin (stopping them after today as she's getting a little close to D day)
I have an offer from the place I got them to re home any babies for me as it was their mistake that Pippin was in the boys cage in the first place but I would like to re home as many as I can myself just to make sure they are going somewhere special and loving.

Obviously I will let you know the minute the little ones arrive, at present I'm just testing the waters for prospective ratty lovers who might want any of them.

It looks like tonight might be the night. Poor Pippin is at bursting point and is firmly entrenched in her nest. She stretched earlier and it appeared there was movement so fingers crossed. I didn't realise that an animal could get so round :o
She's eating and drinking plenty (she's just had her readybrek) and seems really well, obviously I'm trying not to bother her too much, I'm going to put the web cam on her so I can watch over her without causing her stress..............I'm so not going to sleep tonight:hihi:

None yet, she's dragging it out. She's just started cleaning her nipples loads which is a good sign but no contractions...........This must be how expectant fathers feel :hihi:

After many false alerts and over reactions from me Pippin gave birth to eleven perfect little pinkies yesterday evening.
They are all squeaking and nursing, she has ignored the nesting box and so they are also all on view.

After one of my girls had a tumour removed the vets put a collar on her. I ended up taking it off after a day. Her face was all swollen and the porpherin was coming from everywhere. Broke my heart seeing her so stressed out.

I know what you mean about how tiny they are yet hold so many babies. We had one accidentally get pregnant and she gave birth to 11 as well. She and one of her babies now reside with me and my other 2 girls :)

They're beautiful! Especially that dopey little augouti (I think?) drapped over the rest!! :D

The babies have grown enough for me to accurately sex them and there are seven girls and four boys. I couldn't have asked for better as I wanted to keep one and it really had to be a girl.
Anyway there are two little boys up for grabs if anybody wants them:D
