So, after only one season and winning 4 races out of 17 for Mclaren, Alonso leaves. (http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/02112007/58/season-2007-alonso-leaves-mclaren.html)
I thought he might! (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showpost.php?p=2758092&postcount=44)
According to the BBC News website,
Quote" Red Bull and Renault are the favourites to sign him, and BBC Sport understands Red Bull are the more likely option" Unquote
Obviously he must have have been a tad upset, always being 2nd to Lewis in the team.
Mclaren may start the next season with negative points, if any of the (allegedly leaked :suspect:) Ferrari information they had is to be found on the 2008 Mclaren.
What do you think?

Personally, I think its a shame Alonso has left, but if he wants to throw his toys out of his pram, so be it.
Cant wait to see what'll happen next season.
Bring it on!!

Big mistake on his part, unless Ferrari sign him I can't see him being very competitive in any other car.

Wonder if Jenson Button could get Alonso's place he could do with a competitive car and be in an all british team too

I am SO glad he has gone, he's a very good driver but OMG what a mardy little boy, and such a treacherous little toad.

I am not surprised he has gone, he has voted with his feet thank god he is so stroppy. I think renault will take him back and Hieke Kovalinen will go to partner Lewis as a second in the team supporting him to his first of many world championships.

Williams have confirmed that Rosberg will stay for 2008, so surely the Kovalinen / Alonso swop is now favourite?

Alonso will be at Red Bull.
