View Full Version : Katkin, your kittens are gorgeous cuddlycats 02-11-2007, 12:30 I just had a quick look at your blog and saw the photos of your wegie kittens. I adore all cats (and dogs) and have always had a motley collection of strays, rescues and the like- but hankered for a pedigree breed or 2 (ok, 4) - we dont have kids, fancy holidays abroad or lavish lifestyles so for my 40th/ other half's 50th, we got a Norwegian Forest Cat and a Maine Coon [Amber] (because we couldnt decide which we liked best). The first wegie, Raggy died suddenly so we got Ashia from the same breeder. Then other half was daft enough to say he'd love an Oriental/Havana, hence Aero arrived - and it was only a matter of time before I persuaded him no home would be complete without a barmy bengal. Of course, we didn't plan on expanding, but then Charlie the rescue wegie came along and we all know what Charlie did next... Good thing we're dotty about cats, isn't it? Hope you get your wish one day- I'd been after a Wegie or maine Coon for many, many years, never thought it would happen though - always thought all pedigrees cost the earth, had special needs - and how on earth would we keep them indoors - but it's suprising how quickly you adapt -and I'm sure the fact they live indoors makes them so sociable with us and other people. (PS All the wegies I've come into contact with so far have had terrific friendly natures - I cant generalise and say that is true of every single one in the breed, but if you do your homework and find a reputable breeder who is active in the Nrowegian Forest Cat Club, you'll find the perfect wegie for you, some day). |
