Hello

I want to rent out my house for 6 months or a year and go working on farms around Wales.
Can anyone recommend a good estate agent to rent it out through?
Any other advice?

Thanks

Not renting out in sheffield but am elsewhere and if there is any chance a friend or relative can do it for you then you ll save a fortune. Many rental egents are a con and make a healthy profit while you pick up costs. Particularly so in london. It is not a lot of work and basically needs you to have the number of a reliable plumber, electrician and a general DIY man.

i have rented my flat recently, as i work in Housing, but as said previously, for a 6 month period, your best bet is to ask someone you know, as places like Blundells will charge you for management fee's, advertising, checks etc and for that short period u will not cover the amount paid.

Look at info on websites about tenancies, like licences (shared), Assured Shorthold Tenancies (self contained) etc, look at tenants deposit scheme for bonds, furniture inventories (if applicable) etc.

Then just advertise on here or gum tree, only problem being if there is an emergency, u will need a contact here to sort it out.

Rental Market in Sheffield is good at the minute, so i always ask for no DSS, job references and rent and bond before moving in.

Hope this helps
