But we have an ongoing problem, not with her, but my younger son.
She is 2, and the most loving, well trained dog you could ever wish for, but for the last year despite daily grooming, keeping the floors well hoovered and cleaned and spending time in her crate, my 4yr old son's asthma has been getting worse.
He is only affected by the dog, and has no other allergies....our previous dog was a yorkie, and he wasn't affected at all by her.
I'm sure there are others in the same situation, so basically I'm after some more advice....any advice please
I would seriously get a furminator, they are fab. If you groom your dog with one of these regularly (outside) you will see a drastic reduction in the amount of shedding hair.

There is a product called Petal cleanse which you wipe your pet down with every day and which reputes to reduce the allergens from the pet's fur and skin. I bought some because I am slightly allergic to cats and dogs (but still have a houseful!) but by far the best thing I invested in was a Sharp Plasmacluster air purifier - very effective at keeping down levels of dust and fluff and makes sure I get a good night's rest. I use ionisers in other rooms too.
I've still got my dog Petal Cleanse, I think- I only used it a couple of times, but soon realised I was more allergic to cat than dog - if I can find it, would you be interested in taking it to try/keep (for free- it's of no use to me and if it might help with your problem, you're more than welcome to take it). I'd better just check I've still got it though, tonight- but I'm almost certain I have.
Thanks girls
I think I'll look into getting hubby's cc out then, anything's better than what the Dr suggested :(
Thank you very much Katkin, that is so kind of you :D

Hi Hayley- sorry love, have been offline and only just got back on. Yep. Still got the petal cleanse- almost full bottle - it 'gently removes from the coat the Can f1 and dander which are the prime causes of allergis reactions to dogs'. Yours if you want it - we're in all the rest of today and after 12 ish tomorrow so if you want to collect it PM me -or to arrange another time to collect it xK
