Hi,

Im a bit nervous at the minute-Pippa has just had her 2nd jab, and i cant stop checking her to make sure she is ok (my first puppy died after having a reaction to his 2nd jab/microchip). She bothered one of the cats so so far so good :) Ive decided not to have her microchipped until she is fully grown.

She is chewing a toy on my knee at the mo-i took this photo a few minutes ago.

The odds of what happened the first time were huge for the first time- they're astronomical for a second time around.

The risks associated with vaccinations are really very very small. It would be better for both you and Pippa if you could keep that uppermost in your thoughts.

Of course, I may be the one in need of reassurance when Molly goes in for her spaying in a couple of weeks...

She seems fine-still on edge though.

The vet says its highly likely jasper had a rare blood clotting disorder, so even if he had been ok at his jabs/microchip, something else might have killed him young anyway.

I can well understand your nerves- after losing our first wegie cat Raggy I'm still frantic whenever any of my gang have to go in anasthetic -they've all had it of course, except we never got our 2nd wegie cat spayed, because we were worried, just like you, even though we know it's irrational to feel that way - hence we now have 3 kittens because our 3rd wegie Charlie got to Ashia just before we took him to be castrated... It sounds as if all is fine with Pippa and it was a one in a trillion fluke that poor Jasper reacted in the way he did. Give Pippa a hig from me xK
