Anyone flown from there? How long does it take to get to from Sheffield??

I'd imagine it would only take 2 minutes to fly from LBA to SDA cos the distance is only a few miles!

Flown from there.... train from Sheffiled 42 mins - bus from....somewhere in Leeds about the same time. There are two bars there and very little else. Think one of the bars is a Yates, but its not that bad.

45 mins roughly in car gud car parking n minibus service

The bus goes from right outside the door of the train station to the door of the airport, and takes about 30-40 mins - costs about £1-something one-way. Definitely cheaper than parking for a week.

Driving takes longer than 45 mins - depending what time of day you are driving, it may be quicker to take the train, since you have to drive round the Leeds ring road to get there from Sheff.

Leeds/Bradford airport would not be my first choice, it takes longer to get to than East Midlands or Manchester, has far less facilities and a very short runway, its like taking off of an aircraft carrier, with a little slope on the end and the ground dug away for clearance.....

I agree. Leeds Airport is a nightmare to get to! It took me nearly 3.5 hours because of a train delay - I nearly missed my non refundable Jet2 flight.
