Has anyone got any old carpet for my allotment to keep the weeds down.:help::help:I can pick up,i live in S5.

I have a whole load of old carpets if you want them? Only thing you'll have to do is collect from the Dronfield area?

Have you tried asking on Freecycle? There's a roaring trade there in old carpets and quilts as insulation to stop weeds and protect frost sensitive plants over winter.

Been on freecycle,very confused.dont know if i have put an ad in or not.

please do not use foam backed carpet on your allotment, as the foam rots it releases toxins into the ground!
