I notice that 2 walls of heavy motorway style interlocking concrete blocks have been built up on Chesterfield Road against the wall of Arnold Laver DIY. At heeley Bottom.
Does anyone know what they are there for?
Is it something to do with the Meers Brook which goes through the middle of them in a pipe ?

Has nobody else noticed this then?
I am assuming that there is about to be an annoying contraflow in chesterfield road, or they are going to somehow repair the railway wall. The second is also likely as there has been a large gang of men working on the railway line today.
I suspect they are there to protect the wall , what worries me is the second lot oposite rails could be very interesting if we get a lot of rain as the blocks are higher than the wall and water comes off the railway over the wall it will therefore go behind the new blocks

If it's like other times I've seen this happen, it could be due to a dispute with who has to pay for repairing the wall, the council or the landowner. Looks like a temporary fix.
