I used to have an old "J" reg (about 1970) which used to stop every time it rained,

I've owned five in the past. Strange, because I'm over 6' 3"!

My favourite had to be my 1979 Mini 1275GT. I only wish I'd had the money at the time to make it really special.

Mini's are (IMHO) complete and utter [insert swearword of choice]!

My first car was also a c.1970 (J-reg, B&W plates) Morris Mini 1000. Brilliant that car. The lovely paintwork, the huge steering wheel, and the shiny chrome grill and bumpers. Great car, never let me down.

But the doors were wafer thin, i wouldnt rate anyones chances of surviving a side-impact :o

My dad's got a classic Mini 1275 in the garage, 1964 old B reg, in bits at the moment as he's redoing it completely. His first car when he was 17 (going back to '77 here!) was a mini and to date he's had about 14 I think. This one is one that's been int he garage for 6 years but it's his project, it will eventually get done!
