I'd like to go to a Bonfire night this weekend too. I live in the town centre, any idea where there might be one kicking off near by?

There is one at Chelsea Park tomorrow - food from 5.30 - I think it's worth getting there early as I recall from previous years.

Samstar - have you any details, who's organising it etc. Lots of people have recommended it but no one seems to know who organises it, if there is one for certain etc etc

Many thanks :-)

I think its the Netheredge neighbourhood group that do it every year. Its definatley on cos there are signs up and it says on that website. Def reccomend getting there early as it gets busy and food stall does too. Its a good night usually im looking forward to it

Yes, the Chelsea Park bonfire night was excellent.

Perhaps the fireworks went on a bit too long, after the first 1/2 hour they all looked the same and the crowd was chattering away and ignoring them. A bit more variety of firework rather than a constant barrage of the big Chinese shock and awe types would have added to the interest.

But I quibble, it was free and 10 minutes walk away. Many thanks to the organisers
