I dont get it.

Manorboy etc....why do you have more than one litter?

I know I dont have any right to ask but surely you can see the world doesnt need more at the moment. from what I can tell people are really struggling to home them.

Hope your getting them neutered/spayed!

To many unwanted kittens, in 6 months a good amount of these kittens will be breeding also, and so on and so on, it makes my mind boggle to work out the sheer numbers that could result in a year.
Cats have such a hard time of it, they are less obvious than dogs in so much as they will hide when they are suffering etc, and they suffer such cruelty quietly.... it breaks my heart.
I just wish that people would spay their pets and save :( so much heart ache for the future.

Well you know my views on over-breeding (having said that, there is the small matter of my wegie cat being inpregnated by a certain rescue wegie before we got him snipped- ahem!) it was an accidental mating, those of you that know me know why Ash has never been spayed - it wont be happening again and all 3 of mine are accounted for and I would not have dreamt of selling them- I cant believe the cheek of some people- especially the ones charging the earth for cross-breeds and trying to pass them off as something special. A springador is a mongrel, for goodness sake. Just been to Pets at Home at Woodseats and their ad board is crammed with 'kittens free to good homes' ads.

Of course accidents do happen to the best of us and that cannot be helped at times, it almost happened to me with my Rosie  but I was lucky, its the persistant offenders that annoy me and the ones who charge a lot for the kittens, its like they just want the money from them :suspect: at least they could use the money to spay the mother in my opinion.

I've known dog breeders who do this too- just because they want to fund their next holiday abroad or a new car-one used to breed from the same bitch year after year- it's sickening what people are capable of putting their pets through. The thing that gets me about the glut of kittens around at the moment is that a lot will end up as christmas presents- a novelty for a few weeks until it gets time to go on holiday or the kids get tired of them, then they'll be coming up as 'free to good home' or worse - and how many will never get spayed and just continue the vicious cycle?

Katkin I wasnt aiming that at people like you chicken. Accidents do happen.

Im talking about the people on here advertising kittens at the moment like manorboy and people like that who are struggliing to home them and have more than one litter, i find this astounding!. Someone else was struggling to sell 2 black and white ones aswell but i remember their name.

Its stupid!

Yeah i noticed all the kittens too, seem to see adverts everywhere, feel sorry for them really, only thing that worries me is quiet a lot are asking for money and not providing any vaccs etc just dont like the thought of some of them going to new homes without vaccs, jut shows an irresponsable breeder who lets them go without them.
