What age is it best to take dogs to obediance classes, weve started basic training now, eg Sit, Stay and he is 8 weeks? Does anyone have any info on a good training class in the S6 are please? Thanks

A decent training class will not take you in to their puppy class until your pup is fully vaccinated, the puppy class will be a socialisation class really with only a handful of pups at each session any more than this, can be overwelming for your pup

Your pups attention span is very limited and they do tire easily so too much too soon can be a bad thing. I would concentrate on your basics at home without too much pressure and then try and find a good puppy class when he is vaccinated.

We took a term of socialisation (puppy classes) just after 13 weeks, when Ailsa had been fully vaccinated. After that term, we went on to take general obediance. As far as I am aware, for puppy socialisation you have to have your pup fully vacc'd before they will accept you on the course.

hi

i have been going to wadsley bridge do socity for nearly 7 years now and started when she was a puppy as its already been said your puppy has to be fully vacinated, once that is done you can go they do a puppy class and then you can continue they work on the kennel clubs good citizen awards, every one who goes are extremley friendly and so are all the trainners. if you are interested just pop in one day they are at the wadsley bridge church hall every monday night from around 7 ish classes start at 7:15.
