On friday we had double glazing and new exterior doors installed by contractors on behalf of Sheffield city council.
I would just like to say thankyou for a job well done.

We only seem to hear about the mishaps so thought I would say well done.

Well thats life I suppose, somewhere the odds are they will get it right.

In the percentages game I think the majority of these contractors have gone over in time and funding.
The standard of work is shocking from what I have seen of on my house alone.

2 - 3 days I was told to fit doors and windows and 11 and half weeks later they were still working on them. and I mean workers in and out nearly everyday ! (still waiting for a replacement front door as the one fitted is over 4 inches narrower :mad: )

The wooden gutter was removed and replaced by plastic but instead of using clips was srewed through the bottom on the troph part and siliconed over :hihi: ( have photo's that I took to force them to amend it )

Back to your case tho, I am pleased to hear of a good resuilt ;)

Sorry to hear of your mishaps.
I thought the replacement of exterior doors and windows was supposed to be a one day job.
In our case it was so you must have really missed out if it's taken11 and half weeks.

We had more contractors in than bagdad airport.
