Where do I start?
Maximum phone for minimum monthly contract deal!
Having spent hours searching I've finally come up with 4 alternatives..
Nokia 6170
Samsung E330
Samsung E820
Samsung D500 (slightly more expensive contract but still cheaper than I'm on at the moment and looks like a nice phone!)
Anyone had any experience of the above?
My criteria were:
Clamshell/slide (just for a change really more than anything!)
Camera (video bonus!)
Handsfree loud speaker (bluetooth bonus!)
And less than £18 per month

Great
Glad youve been converted!
Thanks for advice / warnings (!)... ended up getting Samsung D500 and I have to say... what a phone! Can't fault it in any way at all so far and great deal from T-mobile (£13.50 for 12 months then £27 for 6, 200 xnetwork and 200 text... works about about £18pm average.. pretty good I reckon!)

I've got a samsung and my main criticism is that writing SMS is awkward - moving between predictive text and upper/lower case is not intuitive or particularly easy. I also think that WAP is a waste of time - the content is aimed at morons.

I agree about the predictive text, though that may be just cos I've had a nokia (or several!) for years and you just get used to the way one manufacturer does things I guess. All in all, the Samsung D500 is just a GREAT phone!
