Yes as the title thread says, anyone been ?, what is it like ?

Its a work colleagues leaving night tonight and after the usual round the pubs night some are going to HotPants and not sure if its something a "oldie" like me would like.

So need some input form those who have gone on what to expect.

I did do as search, but "hotpants" bought up loads of threads.

Went last saturday night and it was Awesome.

Music mainly 70's 80's but not real cheese carwash disco stuff ect.

great atmosphere varried age group although older than a tyical club crowd.

Fail to see how you cant have a good night.

Intresting people and very few idiots.

It's not my thing at all but if you're going to go along to a mainstream club you could do far far worse. It's almost worth the price of entry to see The Dean of Disco doing his cossack dancing!

One of the best places to go on a Sat night nonetheless.

I've been a couple of times, it's good fun, if you like propper disco music (ie. 70's stuff).
Some people go to a lot of effort to get dressed-up.

I find it okay - usually it gets quite busy. Although it wouldnt be somewhere i went every weekend.

It's always good for a laugh and busy too.

If you want to beat the queues, buy tickets beforehand from Ruskins on Tudor Square.

me and my mate john used to go in the late 90s to hot pants and used to have a complete hoot :) he used to have some amazing sequin jackets, and ive got a selection of hair bear wigs and some dynamite original 70s lime green lycra paisley flares from sweden which i used to wear with glitter boots. had some of the best nights out ever down there :)

Ive never had to wait more than 5 minutes at the bar at hot pants. Youve obviously never been to the leadmill then

Yes I went Pete its very good in terms of a wide age range and you can dress up seventies style if you want ... great to see the restored bar area too .. tho I must say the dance floor bounces up and down disconcertingly with a lot of people ... the only negative thing I would say is that on eht eevening I went the lager seemed vile - bad barrel ?
