Anyone who knows anything about football knows that it isnt actually about football nowadays its about money,we have 12 clubs in the premier league who are owned by foreigners (and will soon be more than 12) who know bugger all about football and are solely in it for the franchise.
If a manager does not deliver the goods then its goodbye.thanks for everything and lets look abroad.
I Know it will never happen again but look at Ferguson at Man Utd,he was 1 game away from the sack until Mark Robins saved him wth a goal and they went on to win th F.A Cup,and look where they are now.
YES they should be given more time but it wont happen cos of the money involved

It all comes about because people are hopelessly unrealistic.

To take but one example; at last count, there are now eight teams which should be in the top four every season. :loopy:

Perhaps its also down to players as well i may add with the vast amounts of money they get as well!

Hmmmmm funny that. You didn't seem to be thinking so sensibly and generously when posting in the 'Arsenal' thread:
Benitez has mucked up with Rotation not only in Europe but in the league too
If you was the major shareholder at Liverpool, Rafa would have been sacked a while ago going by this comment!

keep on topic hey paul, you dont have to jump at every single comment!

But Fergurson is a great example of giving a manager time and having patience when the club goes through a temporary rough patch. Clubs are changing managers far too quickly now! its almost becoming normal for clubs to have 3 different managers in a year!

the likes of blackburn and aston villa never contemplated sacking their manager when the team has been going through a poor run. they had faith in the person in charge and knew it was temporary.

Frigg me ive got misen a scouse stalker (gonna go outside and check mi wheels are still on mi car !!!)
Ya shouldnt bite so easy MAD paul, its an opinion
and NO if i was majority shareholder at Liverpool Benitez wouldnt be sacked, but do you honestly think his rotation system is working?
He Substituted Gerrard v Everton because he was "too passionate!",yes they got the result but if you agreed with the decision at the time LFC your lying,Liverpool is ALL about passion.
He doesnt rate Crouch full stop even tho he has a damned good record with Liverpool and prefers to play Voronin who is a step up from a sunday league player.
Good luck against Gooners later on Big Lad,ur gonna need it

No, you're original comment on the other thread was not an opinion, it was an intentional dig! If you don't want me to bite, don't persist in posting intentional digs aimed at myself, just like the following one which you posted in the 'Arsenal' Thread:
Bloody Good result in Turkey for u other Night LFC,4 in group and scousers are where!!!
Never mind...is always Carling Cup to go for

Well if you don't agree with Rafa's policies and believe they don't and never will work for Liverpool, why would you want to keep Rafa at the helm if in fact you were a major shareholder? Surely you would want to replace him, wouldn't you?

Briggy, just because people may not agree with a decision a manager makes, doesn't make it the wrong one. I like most people was a little bemused when I saw Gerrard's number come up against Everton. However, it was apparent within minutes of Lucas coming on that Rafa had infact made the right decision! He explained that Gerrard was playing with his heart and not his head. Gerrard was recieving the ball and was trying to force the pace, often rushing his passes when there were much better options! When Lucas replaced Gerrard you could see the difference straight away and the more patient build up and selective passing of Lucas was causing Everton much more problems than when Gerrard was present. Lucas then was instrumental in the build up to the Neville handball and it was his shot that led to the penalty that won the match! Rafa was proved right! He saw something nobody did and acted on it! People always claim that Liverpool are a one man team and that Gerrard is that man, yet when he is replaced for the last 20 minutes of a game in which Liverpool go onto win, Rafa is executed for doing so! Are you catching my drift here mate?

He doesnt rate Crouch full stop even tho he has a damned good record with Liverpool and prefers to play Voronin who is a step up from a sunday league player.
Crouch does have a good record you're right, and it was Rafa who brought him to the club! Many have criticesed the style of Liverpool's play with Crouch in the side claiming that he draws the players into playing the long ball too often! This season Rafa tried to bring in some players that are alot more technically gifted than Crouch, i.e, Torres, Babel, Bennayoun etc to try to play in a more attacking, techical way. You could argue that up to yet it hasn't worked but maybe Rafa is trying to get away from the long ball tactics that Crouch brings to the team? Who knows!

Good luck against Gooners later on Big Lad,ur gonna need it
Thanks, you might be right! Liverpool are however very capable of beating Arsenal at Anfield and I will be very surprised if Arsenal hand out a drubbing to us, as some people seem to think will happen!

Some are given too much time ie; Danny Wilson when he took us down, he kept saying he would turn it round too.
