I would have posted this in the feedback forum, but a) it isn't there at the moment, and b) I think it's a problem my end rather than the other end.

Does anyone know why, when I try and go in the chatroom on this site, I just see a grey box with a red x in the top left corner?

I'm using Firefox
I've tried it in IE, but it does the same thing
Yes, I have got Java enabled
My Java is up to date


Any ideas? It used to work fine.

I'm using XP PRo and IE6, working fine here.

Can you check your setup against some other Java sites?

It seems to be Java applets that aren't working. Can anyone tell me why? I've not changed any settings as far as I'm aware.

Do you use ZoneAlarm (or ZA Pro)??

If you do, have a look @ the Mobile Code Control within ZA(P) under Privacy?

I have installed AVG recently though, cos I was fed up of Norton asking me to update. Could that be causing it?

AVG is causing no problems for me. Have you tried reinstalling your java?

Tried that a number of times. I can't understand why it's suddenly stopped working :confused:

Are you using XP?. If you haven't installed anything and you have done full virus and spyware scans, you could always restore to an earlier time.
