I have a picasso and very happy with it tyvm. And a big collection of 1/18th dream cars Gazza 23-01-2005, 17:41 i have an Astra Coupe Turbo, but i want to change it for a Scooby NicoleM 23-01-2005, 17:47 I have a Renault Clio Dynamique and it's a lovely car. You don't feel like you are driving a small car at all and it's rather nippy. Oh and it looks kinda sporty too. Also cheap on insurance and petrol which is a bonus for me. deano 23-01-2005, 17:54 Got a spitfire for my weekend toy, love that, but just bought a ford puma 1.7 vct,i can honestly say it is the best all round car ive ever driven, very nippy (0-60 8.2 secs) handles like its on rails,35 mpg round town, power steering, air con, cd ect. Wouldnt have ever believed how good this car is until i drove it,i would recommend them to anybody,if you dont believe a ford could be this good drive one,oh and if you think its a "hairdressers" car again, drive one:thumbsup: alchresearch 23-01-2005, 17:58 Originally posted by deano Wouldnt have ever believed how good this car is until i drove it,i would recommend them to anybody,if you dont believe a ford could be this good drive one,oh and if you think its a "hairdressers" car again, drive one:thumbsup: It's like the Suzuki Vitara (original model) and Mazda MX-5. The latter is a superb roadster with great handling but has been tarred with the 'hairdresser' brush so no self-respecting man would dare buy one! igm1 23-01-2005, 17:59 I'm learning in a Renault Clio, which is an alright car.... When I pass my test I'm gonna be insured on my mum's Vauxhall Corsa- I've driven it before and I really like it  duffman 23-01-2005, 18:08 I started to learn in the original Corsa and I was not impressed. The best I have driven in was a Nissan Micra the second to last model. algy 23-01-2005, 18:16 I'm driving my third Clio, They've always been great cars, but after this one I wont be having another. In the first 18months it had to be towed in twice with ignition problems, The third time I managed to nurse it home and rang the dealer to book it in. They said it would be over a week before they could take it. I explained the problem and they suggested I ring the AA as it was a common problem that could be fixed at the roadside. The guy from the AA knew what it was immediately and fixed it in 20minutes. He reckoned on having at least 2 or 3 per week with the same problem, so I don't think I've just got a wrong un. 1Man&hisBMW 23-01-2005, 18:54 Its in the name :) deano 23-01-2005, 19:14 Originally posted by alchresearch It's like the Suzuki Vitara (original model) and Mazda MX-5. The term is usually coined by people who dont know what they are talking about or have never driven one. I think it may be something to do with the appearance of the car,the mx5 is a "cute ragtop" and the puma a "cute" coupe. The mazda is a fantastic car, read any review of the puma from owners to motoring journalists, and the conclusion is always the same, brilliant car,it was even top gears car of the year a couple of years ago. As for the vitara, horrid car, like driving a tractor...i should no,my girlfriend has one, hope she dont read this;) Ginner 23-01-2005, 19:14 SEAT Leon Cupra R. Great package for the price. D2J 23-01-2005, 19:55 Astra Mk4 (99), yes Im satisfied with it. Prob keep it for another year and trade it in :D Chicago 23-01-2005, 21:55 2002 Honda Accord V-6. Fast, fun, rock solid dependability and great resale value. I highly recommend this car. My last car was a Ford and it was truly "Found On Road Dead" :gag: spiffymonkey 23-01-2005, 22:28 1986 Volkswagen Polo C in white Marvellous little motor. All in working order, just some fixing needed on the trim (on of the little plastic side bumpers fell off) and some cleaner wheels (soon, hopefully) and she's like new. The missus drives a dirty great 1994 Cavalier 1.8lsi, again in white. Nice car, but one two many scrapes with the side of the garage. I drive my Zafira like an Astra, which confuses the hell out of anybody who thinks I'm a woman in an MPV!! Guess again!! (Anybody want to buy an Astra BTW? I'm still selling one) nick2 24-01-2005, 09:15 We have got an Audi, I can't drive so I don't know what it's like to drive, I use the tram, but I know it uses less than £10 a week of diesel, which is good. coopster1974 24-01-2005, 09:16 Originally posted by nick2 We have got an Audi, I can't drive so I don't know what it's like to drive, I use the tram, but I know it uses less than £10 a week of diesel, which is good. So i can mod it and make it really cool. Boy racer! w00t! Im only 16 at the moment and im not too bothered about taking lessons just yet. I dont feel ready to drive. kilauea 24-01-2005, 21:01 I drive a Peuegot 205 GTi 1.9. It's in my opinion the best hot-hatch ever created and due to modern safety controls will never be beaten. Hels 25-01-2005, 01:29 I've got a Citroen C5, it's comfortable, the suspension goes down (and up) so my doggy can jump in the back. It's economical and good insurance group. OK, so it's a bit grandaddy but what the heck! I used to have a Rover and everytime I took it though the car wash I had to get towed out! mrhijinx 25-01-2005, 03:22 I have two Mini Clubmans... One is black, 1275GT... standard The other is a yellow animal... this is not standard it has an Astra GTE engine in it. 've suprised I few hot hatches over the last couple of months... very, very quick indeed... Mini's are all I've ever owned, pain in the a**e but great fun to drive. Often go wrong but are easily fixed. Saying that the yellow doesn't cause me any problems as it doesn't have an A-series engine in it Cheers.... _Fate_ 25-01-2005, 19:33 How much are the recent model of Citroen Saxó these days? Please dont do it. Bet u got a burb cap as well ant ya? :D _Fate_ 25-01-2005, 19:43 Firstly, ive seen some wicked Saxo's driving around Rutland rd when im waitin for the bus home, with full body kits and sweet rims. Why not go for something original? dinp 25-01-2005, 23:42 I drive a 95N Fiesta 1.1LX and i'm quite happy with it. Its cheap to run, insure, its reliable, even in the cold, the bodywork is in good nick and its easy to drive. As a student, cost is everything and it didnt cost me much to buy either. I wouldn't want to shell out loads for a new fiesta (which I like) when mine is fine. I'll keep it til I finish uni, or until I run it into the ground. But its just sailed through the MOT so I can't see it dying a natural death just yet. However, idiots on the one-way system on Matilda Street, Shoreham Street, St Marys Road and Park Square roundabout who keep drifting into my lane (when i'm there!!) may kill the car sooner! I've had 3 very near misses in the last 4 days, would probably be 4/4 if I wasn't back in my hometown today :D dinp 25-01-2005, 23:45 Originally posted by mat1978 NO they dont - they look crap, nobody will take you seriously......oh hang on you just said 'sweet rims' .....forget it your a lost cause. Why not go for something original? If you're guna tart a car up, subtlety is the key - otherwise it will look like sh*te, and will attract attention from the police and devious buggers with sharp keys..... £3500 should get you an 02 plate 1.1 Saxo. But seriously, save up your money and buy a nicer car (after the saxo) rather than modding a tin box to look silly. babygem 26-01-2005, 00:04 The Saxo replacement, the C2, is much more original in my opinion and I drove the GT version which was a nice hot hatch with a 1.6, manual engine. Sadly they're only limited edition, if you want another 1.6 engine you have to get the VTR/S semi automatic thingy which is basically clutchless with the option to use a paddle gear change, one that vaguely resembles a gear stick or have it fully automatic. Nice for traffic, but I didn't like it and it's slightly slower too. They only have 4 seats but they are surprisingly spacious and well designed, although a tad girlier than the Saxo (but as a girl I loved that!! hehe). I decided not to bother anyway and I have a Skoda Fabia - bascially a cheap VW Polo, although it's more akin to a Golf in my opinion. Nice car, brakes are a bit shoddy though but maybe that's just me?! venger 26-01-2005, 05:56 Originally posted by mrhijinx I have two Mini Clubmans... I love it, but I do miss my golf:P DanSumption 06-09-2005, 15:14 I just bought a new vehicle (not exactly a car) - a Chevrolet Astro dayvan, see pic here: http://i15.ebayimg.com/04/i/04/cb/aa/26_3.JPG I am very very happy with it; it has room enough for my newly enlarged family, lots of mod cons, is incredibly enjoyable and easy to drive (0-60 in under 10 seconds: not bad for a 2.5 ton van :)). Fuel economy is a bit of a pig, though I may fit an LPG conversion, and for long solo journeys I'll be heading to http://www.liftpool.co.uk/ to try and find somebody to share petrol costs. willman 06-09-2005, 15:27 2 - 4x4's satisfied with them & the fuel & the fact they pi** other people off. oh & a toyota avensis. neeeeeeeeeek 06-09-2005, 15:41 Never expected to buy a Volvo, certainly never expected to buy a gold car. The diesel ones are excellent though with loads of torque, it's a really good engine, fast and ecconomical. The diesel comes highly recommended, I would have been very with a diesel to be honest but as I don't even use it for work the fuel consunmption does not bother me that much. The built in Sat Nav is good but is expensive if you are paying for it as an extra in a new car. You may be as well gerttign a tom tom one or an PDA with GPS module. Can't fault the car though. probedb 06-09-2005, 16:02 I have a Ford Probe 24V, lovely engine and quite a nice car to drive, the V6 is so very very smooth :) Never causes me any problems. Not convinced about the TV tho, it won't let you watch while your driving! medusa 06-09-2005, 17:07 A black Renault Scenic 1.6 automatic, new shape, courtesy of the lovely people at Motability. When everything's working it's great- I even challenged myself over the weekend on a couple of trips, and I got 450 miles out of one 50l tank of petrol before the warning light came on! The trip included crossing the Pennines twice (once on Woodjead, once on Snake) and loads of crawling in a jam too. However, I've also twice had the ignition coil problem previously mentioned (it's a known Renault thing and they have changed the coil design to get round it), and it was delivered with problems that have taken 18 months to get sorted, so build quality is rather questionable. I preferred my trike and my 15 year old SAAB (she was a grand old lady- but she was also a money pit) but since I'm no longer able to do my own maintenance both had to go- I've still got the made to measure leathers though, so I can dream! Strange thought- the trike used to break down with alarming regularity, and I never used to mind that. It was just an excuse to tinker and get the MIG welder out! bigsteve 06-09-2005, 17:21 i gotta Jeep grand cherokee and a 33 year old beetle and i luv em both:clap: headup 06-09-2005, 19:40 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi. Once you get over its 'ugly factor' and the gigantic whale tail, it's a great car. It's a perfect daily driver but can easily hold its own at any race track or drag strip. DragonofAna 06-09-2005, 19:44 Ford Mondeo 1.8L - one of the early models. Previous owner souped up the engine to get every last bit of power from it. Drives like a dream. Would take something for me to find a car I liked as much. I know there are better - but who cares? Yup, gotta agree - I thought the same about automatics, then got the Astro van, automatic + cruise control, I *love* it! I actually noticed while driving through Central London at 2am the other night that with cruise control on I actually have enough spare brain power to notice and take account of all the thousands of road signs and other roadside furniture which normally just whizz by. TrashyBook 06-09-2005, 22:02 I have a 1998 Saab 9-5. I'm very happy with it. Took it to France earlier in the summer and did about 2000 miles, averaging 37mpg which I was pretty pleased with 'cos it's not the lightest of cars! It's automatic but has a nifty "sports" mode, so if you put it into that and floor it, it's like you've been kicked in the rear end..... great for overtaking on single carriageways (which I generally hate doing!) DanSumption 06-09-2005, 22:27 I'm in the process of disposing of my 1992 Saab 900, a wonderful car though quite expensive for parts (especially when I used to get it serviced by a dealership - who I subsequently discovered know so little about old Saabs that they nearly busted mine by fitting an incorrect part, and also charged me £700 over the odds for a part I didn't need). Unfortunately, my insurance company have declared it a write-off after some damage done when the stereo was nicked, and it's also too small for my current needs hence the van. As an obvious example, that gives it a better power to weight ratio of any current Porsche up to and including the latest 911 Turbo. I don't, however, drive like the people the OP was complaining about and I also don't get the 'Maxpower' bunch trying it on at traffic lights. Those figures sound like the factory quotes for a 5.0 Grif, but I don't think V8 Developmetns have ever seen a standard car make more than 285/310. Don't get me wrong - I very much like TVRs and they're quick, but actually getting a Grif to 60 quickly takes very sticky tyres because they just can't get grip. Bartfarst 21-08-2006, 22:15 My stock Supra with it's stock turbos would pee alllllll over your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times (and not to mention round ANY bend, where the true 'speed' of a car is to be found) chap, sorry to spoil your little 'USA is best' disillusions! ;) Oh, and it'd beat the MPG whilst it's at it, too, just for good measure! lol :D Now try to say the same for a Jap car that was made in the 60s or 70s when the muscle cars were made. Cayenne 21-08-2006, 23:14 I've got a Volvo S80. Auto, cruise control, leather, electric everything. Cruises great on motorways, just eats up the miles. Have to watch the speedo, though - you're up way above the speed limit if you don't watch it. You don't get a great deal of a sense of speed, 60 and 90 feel pretty much the same. That's where the cruise control comes in. Set it and forget it. Never had a cruise fitted car before, thought it was not much use in this country but it comes in v handy when you don't want to break the speed limit. Sets off from the lights like a phantom on reheat if you want it to, though. Spose that's why the coppers use them. Big and quick. Wasn't too sure about it for the first couple of weeks, previous car was a rare Japanese V6 which went like a fart in a wet paper bag. Getting to like this one more and more, it grows on you. Cliff Clavin 22-08-2006, 00:17 My stock Supra with it's stock turbos would pee alllllll over your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times (and not to mention round ANY bend, where the true 'speed' of a car is to be found) chap, sorry to spoil your little 'USA is best' disillusions! ;) Oh, and it'd beat the MPG whilst it's at it, too, just for good measure! lol :D Yeah but you guys need big turbo's. Only problem is that the gear stick is in the wrong place and takes a little getting used to. The handbrake is like the wheel control on a plane lol. But i still would not change it. SupraSteve 22-08-2006, 07:58 Yeah but you guys need big turbo's. Depends on your definition of "big" I suppose; the stock tubbies aren't what most owners would call large, in fact they're pretty small TBH - owners looking for BIG power (500bhp+++ (1521bhp is the most I know of! :o )) rip them off and redo the lot with a single (much bigger) turbo, as you'd suggested earlier - but my car is still very powerful and is still stock. ;) Stick one of those turbo's on mmy Yank and i'd leave you on the line 0-60 and 1/4 mile  If the Japanese made an engine as large as the one in your 'yank tank' ;) I'm sure it'd be more powerful (and probably lighter) than yours - but they don't, and we have to compare like with like here! The Americans couldn't seem to work out how to make more power without upping the displacement, the Japanese (in fact the rest of the world) could. There were 2 seperate design routes taken, each with their own pros & cons - you can't go muddying the waters and saying 'yeah but if I had turbos too...' :) Incidently what is your 1/4 mile time and 0-60 for your stock supra? Stated figures were 4.9s to 60 and 1/4 mile in 13s, although a performance mag at the time of release did the 0-60 in 4.6s :D I've not had the chance to drag mine yet (and 0-60 runs are for nova drivers ;)) but I'd expect, realistically, my 1/4 mile would be closer to the 15s mark. SupraSteve 22-08-2006, 08:03 Forgot to say, that's (^^^) with 2 catalytic convertors in, it's perfectly legal to take them off mine (and many people do), for a ~25bhp gain, and then up the boost slightly for another ~25bhp. The result is that you've spent a few hundred quid but are now driving a machine pusing out nearly 400bhp. Not only that but the power is even more accesible as the tubos spool a noticable amount earlier & quicker due to the less restrictive exhaust system - with an added bonus that (for the same reason) the car even does better MPG! :D Tony 22-08-2006, 09:47 My car at least has a rolling road verified 321bhp and 340lbft. As an obvious example, that gives it a better power to weight ratio of any current Porsche up to and including the latest 911 Turbo. You cheeky stackmonkey! Much as TVR's bring out the wide mouthed little boy in me I can't let that go unchallenged. The latest 911 TT has a factory 300 bhp/tonne and a 0-62 (not 0-60) drag of 3.7 secs with the auto! :o ... and unlike TVR, Porsche are VERY conservative with their numbers so you can expect the stated numbers as the minimum for every car out of the factory, not the best for a few on the right day with the right tyres. Most P's leave the factory with 5-10% more power than it says in the brochure. ... and any 911 will leave any TVR in the gravel trap when you stop dragging (bragging ;)) and start racing. As i said the power figures for mine are verified as 321bhp @ 5500rpm and 340lb.ft @ 4500rpm and with the vast majority of that torque available much lower down the rev range. It's never left me stranded, starts first time, does about 19mpg and a V8 sounds better than any flat six. :P stackmonkey 22-08-2006, 15:11 My uncle has had his 997 Turbo tuned to 450bhp and he hoons it round a track regularly. Both the Syclone and Typhoon (SyTy) trucks featured a Mitsubishi TD06-17C/8cm2 turbocharger and Garrett Water/Air intercooler attached to a 4.3 L LB4 V6 engine with unique pistons, main caps, head gaskets, intake manifolds, fuel system, exhaust manifolds, and a throttle body from the 5.7 L GM Small-Block engine. All SyTy's had a 700R4 (4L60) 4-speed automatic transmission and a BorgWarner 1372/4472 transfer case splitting torque with 35% forward and 65% to the rear wheels. Both trucks featured all-wheel drive, upgraded brakes, and sport modifications to the standard suspensions. Output was officially 280 hp (209 kW) and 360 ft·lbf (488 N·m), but some stock Typhoons have been measured at over 300 hp (224 kW) on a dynamometer. The Syclone was capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds and could do a quarter-mile run in 14.1 seconds at 95 mph (153 km/h). Car and Driver was impressed, comparing the Syclone's performance favorably to the Ferrari 348ts, Chevrolet Corvette, and Nissan 300ZX Turbo. It was a bargain at US$29,970. Remember these were/are stock looking pickups and family SUV's! Once seriously tweaked 800+ hp figures were reached, and beyond if engine life wasnt too great a consideration. PETTY ENTERPRISES • Team Page • Henderson named crew chief for Petty's No. 45 • World of Dodge "We're at that time in the season where we need to be making a change," Petty said. "We've talked about it for the last three or four months with Mike Ege Racing Engines, and it's come to a point where it's time to make a move. Next year, we'll do something different." The Dodges of Petty and Green will use Ege engines in this weekend's EA Sports 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, and Ege has the option of staying with Petty Enterprises the rest of this year. methusala 22-08-2006, 18:19 stackmonkey, please please tell where i can get to view the mighty 2 ton 200mph Nascar monsters, and I dont mean the Ascars imitation......lol methusala 22-08-2006, 18:28 and the brits to make it go round a corner. :P considering the brits sent em sans engine and the work shelby did to make em ferrari beaters at le mans, i dont think the cornering aspects were covered by AC. (who by the way are responsible for the UK having a motorway speed limit bless em) "it is often claimed that the MoT had been alarmed by AC Cars testing their latest Cobra on the M1 at speeds up to 180 mph" quite when the M1 got joined onto the m6 i dont know anyone? SupraSteve 22-08-2006, 19:24 You sure it's a 997 Turbo (ie the one just released)? cos that has 480bhp as standard. a 996 has 420bhp as stock. Sorry you're right, it's a blown 996. Absolutely magic. I have not seen one before in this area. To be honest I have seen Ferrari motors, but never a real Lamborghini in normal use. The weird thing was I didn't feel any envy. Mind you envy is not and never been one of my vices. But truly, what an absolutey incredibly well designed motor car. stackmonkey 22-08-2006, 20:43 methusala, You can get to see the nascar cars race in the US, but they're mainly designed and built in the uk, as is most of the F1 grid, most european rally cars, etc. The UK motor industry is alive and well, it just doesn't do mass production per se. ;) Most of the world's manufacturers use British designers and consultants to develop new cars, engines, chassis etc. So what car do you own and drive methusala? Christina2 22-08-2006, 20:57 I've had a Suzuki Alto FX for 21 years - which I love. It's great for doing U turns on Sheffield's narrowest streets & can get in the tiniest of parking spaces. Christina. stackmonkey 22-08-2006, 21:15 21 years!! my ex has just sold his back to the dealer after 9 months and 5000 miles - nothing wrong with the car as such; but they've put it on the the forecourt for more than he bought it for last year! methusala 22-08-2006, 21:36 so who builds the nascar cars? methusala 22-08-2006, 21:38 im an engine noise fan, no.1 is a spitfire/merlin on full chat, then a real V8 (BBC/hemi) - 11ltrs makes a terrifyingly hollow sound! methusala 22-08-2006, 21:41 I had the pleasure yesterday of seeing, parked up by the local shops, a beautiful, low slung, genuine Lamborghini............rear engined with a see-through, tiny boot lid. I think that is similar to our Ford Contour. I am a Toyota girl myself. I have had 4 of them over the years and never a minutes problem with them. Alcoblog 02-12-2009, 21:50 I accidentally bought a Rolls Royce silver shadow on the way back from the off license. The wiff was not well pleased to say the least! (I'd only gone for a bottle of Cabernet) She was less impressed when I put £100 of fuel in it and mortified when a lost hubcap cost £150 to replace and apoplectic when a new ball joint cost £500. Brill car though! :D millhouses24 02-12-2009, 21:53 I walk and I love it and I got some new shoes yesterday . Does that count? If I did get a car I'd want a black one so it would colour co-ordinate with everything better :). bulldog D 03-12-2009, 18:11 I accidentally bought a Rolls Royce silver shadow on the way back from the off license. Did she not fancy giving the Spirit of Ecstacy a quick polish though! Tess 03-12-2009, 18:38 I drive a Corsa and although it's no Rolls Royce I love it! However mine is the basic model so I would like one with air con/electric windows (yes its that basic) and a bigger engine. Do you think a jump from a Corsa to a Evo is a bit unrealistic? :hihi: Waltheof 03-12-2009, 20:13 I have a Rolls-Canardly...it rolls down hills and can 'ardly get up 'em! Modern cars are safer, and have any amount of electronic gimmicks in them to keep one amused and informed, it won't be long before they don't need a driver at all. But some of the older cars had style and could be fun to drive. When electric cars become cheaper and viable I'd be interested in one of those. Leon_Clark 03-12-2009, 20:13 I have a ford focus convertable. CC3 with heated leather seats ect. amazing car and has been totally dry! unfortunatly due to lack of work im having to sell it. We've also got a Golf (company hack). My other car is a bit thirstier than those 2. It's got no traction control, no ABS; it only does about 12mpg and I love it. Although it does need more power . I'm looking for 5.0 V8 to repalce the 3.5 that's in there. Either that or stick a blower on it. Gambler 03-12-2009, 23:20 The highlight of my christmas was receiving a brand new Rover Vitesse Fastback which I don't mind admitting is the best executive car I've ever driven. What I particularly like, apart from the walnut and leather interior which I think really does give it luxury car status, the thing that impressed me most is the overall economy, I mean, 38.4 miles to the gallon at a constant 56 mph, I think makes it a class leader. Hey don't knock Rollers! £5000 bought me a handmade car with a 6.7 litre engine, superb craftmanship, electric everything, superb carpets and trimmings and so much style! For something that's approaching 3 tons you can use one finger on the steering wheel and you don't need to bother with anything apart from the acellerator. The car is 35 years old and is still in perfect condition. If you put your foot down it's pretty nippy. Love the new Rollers but I don't have £400 grand! I'm thinking of getting a titanium x in the new year, positives? negatives? L00b 04-12-2009, 13:25 (i) Mk1 Mazda MX-5 1.8 (98 R) Hairdresser's jokes aside (funny how it's always white van drivers who make them :D thy neighbour's eye and all that ), it's a fabulous driver's car. Really, really fabulous (and I've had a few, way more expensive/powerful/etc.) Built as a tank, cheap to insure and run, with unbeatable fun-to-£ ratio. Don't delay, buy one today  (ii) Subaru Impreza 2.0 R Sports (06) Our 3rd, unfortunately probably our last (the hatch is really fugly, what were they thinking ). Whatever the weather, it's just permanently glued on the road, utterly dependable, with some of the best driver<>car feedback this side of £10k. Eats tyres and not mpg-friendly (high 30s), but that's the price to pay for the safety of permanent 4WD and best weight/gravity center distribution in class. foxy lady 04-12-2009, 15:55 I have a Jaguar and love it. Positives Very safe vehicle for high milers or anybody interested in keeping alive Will swallow the contents of your house and then someone else's. The half leather seats are really practical Loads of road presence feels huge, it is! Nearly 44mpg out of the 2L TDCI Rear spoiler doubles as a picnic shelf in summer:hihi: Has Ipod connector. Brilliant on long journeys Headlights are like two suns stuck to the front of the car, we were on the west coast of Ireland and I'm sure we could have lit up New York. Negatives OOOOOOOOOOWHOOOOO. When will Ford ever get their service staff sorted out! Don't lift the tailgate if it's been raining, unless your growing lettuce in the boot and you do want it watering. Cheap plastic catch on the central console, it wears and then you have real difficulty getting in to it. or just dont use it ......like me. Drivers door lower seal.....held on by stupidly small clips that are brittle, so if you catch it with your foot expect them to break.... in fact if you breathe on them!!!!!! Glove compartment floor is flat and level with the cover. Never park facing up a hill and open the cover............or everything ends up in the passengers lap. So that's personal objects and small expensive presents out of the glove box then:wink: The carpet is cut by a meany counting the pennies! After a while the carpet edge start to come away from the footwell trim, It's because there's not enough behind the trim to take up the wear and tear of foot pressure. This also effects Focus's as well, This I know as I drive them regularly. but apart from that ................good car! I've recommended one to a mate of mine and he is really happy with it, But at the slightest sign of trim hassle get it back within twelve month to get it sorted.
