A long Shot really - but was anyone a student at one of the Sheffield colleges/university in the spring of 1974 and made a film at Lound Junior school at Chapeltown? Me and a few of my mates were in it and it came up for discussion in the pub the other night. Some sort of Maths project was the subject of the film If I remember correctly, and it was shot on ye olde 16mm film! :help:

The teachers name was Miss ( Muriel ) Ellis at the time

Totally irrelevant but I used to go to Lound Junior School - I can't believe Miss Ellis was there in 1974!

I went there between 1982 - 1984 and she was one of my form teachers.......

Someone has told me they are still in touch with her and will ask her if she can remember any details. :)

Sheff Uni made a lot of films in the mid 70's....mainly self promotional ones...I have one on 16mm made in 1975 about how to get a place at Sheffield university and made by Sheffield Students Union...its very good actually and shows the University and city in some depth in 1975 and how amazing it was then....

Is there any way you could youtube it (I've no idea how!!!)? I'd love to see Sheffield in 75!
