Well, the long wait is over.
I have it here, in my hand. It has rather spectacular packaging, with a cool hologram of a nebula in the background behind the 'X', reminiscent of the much-touted new feature, 'Time Machine', with its cosmological cascade of incremental back-ups stretching to infinity (or as much infinity as a dedicated partition or peripheral drive can stretch to).
Anyone other Mac users going to be brave and install 10.5.0?
Am I missing something? Leopard?
New prog/OS?
The latest Mac OS....
If i owned a mac, i'd have it installed already -- I want a mac :(
Ahh Mac OS...maybe that explains the OP getting excited about the packaging rather than the product ;)
From WIRED:
New Treats and Tiny Tweaks Make Mac OS X Leopard Spot-On (http://www.wired.com/software/softwarereviews/news/2007/10/leopard_walkup)

Stuck it on yesterday. The standard install froze on login, conflicting with something on my Mac - but Archive and Install worked a treat. Not sure about the dock 'stacks' but a big thumbs up all the same. :) Just setting up Time Machine now.

I'll be getting it when i finally treat myself to a new Mac...
Sites are reporting many a blue-screen experience with updating from Tiger though. :(

Apparently, APplication Enhancer (APE) from Unsanity Software has been highlighted as a possible culprit. Article from InformationWeek (http://www.informationweek.com/news/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=202602869)
A quick search seems to indicate that this is likely to be true.
Unfortunately, I have Shapeshifter installed, so that would include me. However, Leopard has a much nicer Finder look than Tiger (brushed metal...euck!), so I'll happily use it without modding it (goodbye Ayofe...on the G5, at least).
Oh, still haven't installed it btw. Let's just say that I'm writing an extremely lengthy tome. Will install it as soon as I submit!
