View Full Version : Best to stay at home?
Alexandro 25-10-2007, 19:48 According to various threads on this forum:
Buses are rubbish.
Taxis are rubbish.
Private hire cars are rubbish.
Trams are generally OK, but they don't come near my house.
Trains are rubbish.
Cars are OK, but:
The roads are full of potholes (worse than anywhere else in England, apparently)
The ring road is a joke.
Traffic congestion is appalling and most of the time you can't move.
Parking is too expensive and is generally impossible anyway, especially in Sharrow.
Cycling is OK, but cyclists are homicidal maniacs.
Think I'll stop in and read a book. :(
dan_999uk 25-10-2007, 19:49 And other drivers are crap :D
fox20thc 25-10-2007, 19:49 why where were you planning on going?

You must be joking. Footpaths are now only suitable for parking cars and cyclists. And they are in a worse state of repair than the roads.

I wouldn't if I were you. More accidents happen in the home than outdoors.

I have it on good authority that all the best bits of pavement go to asylum seekers first anyway........

Welcome to Sheffield Forum, you will be hard pressed to find non-cynical posters on here.
I see myself as Ed Norton at the start of Fight Club when I come on here, but instead of going to support groups to listen to people moan about their rubbish lives, I can do it from the comfort of my home.

Alexandro - I like your reasoning here.
Do you think if I show it to my boss, he'll accept it as the reason I wasn't at work . . . OK, maybe not:hihi:
Whatif wewin 26-10-2007, 10:37 There is a thread on the Forum with apparently Sheffields one saving grace: Supertram
Can we not add on here other positives about Sheffield?
Could I go second with my suggestion on the best Panto?
Positives
1. Supertram
2. Manor Operatic Society
