i would say no if you want an honest opinion m8. the full 6 months course costs 7000 and is full time.
i know a few guys that have completed the course, if you would like an honest opinion from these lads that have completed the full course and are actively looking for work let me know and i will forward you there email address`s.
my honest opinion would be to go for the electrical course 16th/17th, commissioning and testing and part p.once you have the 16th you can look for work and start to earn then in your own leisure carry on with training for the more complex work ie: testing etc.
one way to see what is available is check the local papers and newspapers there are loads for vacancies for electricians and likewise.
minimum requirements for work http://www.arenatraining.co.uk/Course_2.html
this is guy can help ask for geoff (top man)

I'd agree there John. Anyone thinking of training to be a plumber (unless as an apprentice) in this current climate must have money to burn. A short 8wk course will teach you nothing of value for the 'real world'. Changing a leaky tap in a nice clean bay with nice new fittings is a bit different than what you come across day by day.
'Electricians' the job of the moment since the new Part P regulations. You only have to look in the jobs section to see the demand. Reminds me of the demand for plumbers about 5yrs ago
