In the last few years of the 'old building' John Bardsley was the last headteacher but eventually took early retirement due to ill health before new building opened. New building opened with Marge Royles and Richard Storer (Assistant Heads) running the show and they made a good job of it under the circumstances.Bowes did not arrive until new bulding had been open about a year (probably about 2003/4).
