Is it just me, or can anyone actually work out why Bolton seem set on employing Gary Megson as manager? Have I missed something? The more I read about it, the less I understand it.

The decision involves a strange person named "chairman"
A person who Brian Clough pointed out, knows nowt about football

I don't get it either. He was rubbish at Forest and has hardly taken Leicester to dizzying heights.

Took Norwich to the premiership and very nearly kept them up.

I'm never sure if your posts are serious or not. But I'll bite anyway. It was Worthington who took Norwich up.

Megson took West Brom up twice, but left them is a sorry state from which Bryan Robson became the only manager in the history of the prem to keep the bottom team at Christmas up.

As for the OP, no, I have no idea why Bolton want him as manager.

Complete lack of ambition by Bolton. See ya Anelka and Diouf, its championship football next season.

Bruce and Souness both turned it down, and tbh there arent that many decent manaagers out of work at the moment.Chris Coleman is enjoying the sun in Spain and isnt a proven magager yet.
I dont think it will work out for him at Bolton but give a fellow Sheffielder a chance and hope he pulls it off

Are leicester the trying to emulate wednesday? Surely 5 managers in 6 months will even beat Wednesday's record? :o

Personally, I reckon Bolton have sealed their fate of Championship football next season with the appointment of Megson. They would probably have been better sticking with Lee, at least until there was a better possibility to replace him.
