Is it just me, or can anyone actually work out why Bolton seem set on employing Gary Megson as manager? Have I missed something? The more I read about it, the less I understand it.

View Full Version : Megson to Bolton - why? barnie41 24-10-2007, 11:14 Is it just me, or can anyone actually work out why Bolton seem set on employing Gary Megson as manager? Have I missed something? The more I read about it, the less I understand it. Ned Ludd 24-10-2007, 11:16 The decision involves a strange person named "chairman" A person who Brian Clough pointed out, knows nowt about football scottf 24-10-2007, 11:16 even the leicster fans were chanting megson to bolton last night :hihi: daftlad 24-10-2007, 20:06 even the leicster fans were chanting megson to bolton last night :hihi: A team like them deserve the ginger pig Agent Gypo 24-10-2007, 23:59 I don't get it either. He was rubbish at Forest and has hardly taken Leicester to dizzying heights. BasilRathbon 25-10-2007, 09:23 Took Norwich to the premiership and very nearly kept them up. Jonny5 25-10-2007, 10:26 I'm never sure if your posts are serious or not. But I'll bite anyway. It was Worthington who took Norwich up. Megson took West Brom up twice, but left them is a sorry state from which Bryan Robson became the only manager in the history of the prem to keep the bottom team at Christmas up. As for the OP, no, I have no idea why Bolton want him as manager. Spruce 25-10-2007, 13:58 Complete lack of ambition by Bolton. See ya Anelka and Diouf, its championship football next season. briggy1967 25-10-2007, 20:06 Bruce and Souness both turned it down, and tbh there arent that many decent manaagers out of work at the moment.Chris Coleman is enjoying the sun in Spain and isnt a proven magager yet. I dont think it will work out for him at Bolton but give a fellow Sheffielder a chance and hope he pulls it off A.B.Yaffle 25-10-2007, 20:50 Are leicester the trying to emulate wednesday? Surely 5 managers in 6 months will even beat Wednesday's record? :o Personally, I reckon Bolton have sealed their fate of Championship football next season with the appointment of Megson. They would probably have been better sticking with Lee, at least until there was a better possibility to replace him. scottishdude 26-10-2007, 20:54 Jols is looking for a job. Shame timing was wrong. The Manager 26-10-2007, 23:15 i think i saw it in paper or sumthin, that if warnock would have waited he was odds on for the bolton job!! scottishdude 27-10-2007, 08:28 Terry Venables for new Spurs job but must win The Apprentice to get it.;) |
