Yesterday I went to a boot sale and a seller had a 706,746, and the old Black Phone and if I can remember it was a 301 also a plan 1a.

It made me think of the days in the 60,s as an apprentice with the GPO. He also had a uniselector a Strouger final selector and a range of tools including a bank cleaner.
Tried to buy the lot, but I was 5 mins to late they all went for £10.

Does anyone else remember

Stop looking back, those days have gone. I spent 26 years with the GPO and BT and I am not in the least bothered now about obtaining a plumbing cloth, Lindstrum cutters, a jointers tent, a Bowl G. I. or anything to remind me of my time spent twisting wires and climbing poles.

I've still got a yellow tool bag, no.3 screwdriver and some other bits from when I was there. People may know me better by the name Mebo. Anyone remember me?
