I dunno if anyone knows about this i thought it was really sad, the guy who used to do the Elephant.co.uk ads died just before christmas of cancer so the ads that he was in were pulled but his parents are trying to convince the company to show the ads again so they can continue to see him. I was told this by my boyfriend last week but not entirely sure how true this is, has anyone else heard anything about this?

The elephant- dot-co-dot-UK ads are still being shown on tv:- there was one on the telly only yesterday. (I havent watched much TV so far today...) I havent noticed any less frequency of their transmission on tv...?

I think it's most likely a myth or an urban legend...? (in fact ,I'd go so far as to lay money on that being the case!)

There were rumours going round about all sorts of adverts and tv actors etc, such as the chap who presents the kiddies programme "Blue's Clues", (steve) being dead, and all sorts of gubbins like that. Most of these rumours turn out to be myths.

There was a rumour that was posted on another website that i go on saying Ozzy had died after taking 20 sleeping tablets. It looked like it came from a news orgainisation in the USA.

Yeah, the rumour originated from LA. Ozzy was on the news confirming earlier that he is, in fact, still alive. How weird must it be for these people to hear 'reports' of their own deathes?!

I just thought it was a bit odd, as I havent seen the ads for a while, but saying that I dont watch a lot of TV anyway, and couldnt find any news reports, but then thought that some people might not find it news worthy, but then how did my boyfriend hear about it, its all very odd, I remember the other year when Lene the singer from the band Aqua was supposedly killed in a car crash christmas day, boxing day she was on TV confirming the fact that she was alive!

It will always baffle me how people come up with these things!

I received a note from a contributer about this thread from somebody who says that they knew him...

'Steve died tragically in Miami last August . Steve was diabetic and was taken ill just before the MTV music awards. He died in his sleep peacefully.'

There was a rumour on Digital Spy a couple of weeks ago that Shane Ritchie was dead. Turned out not to be true, Yeay! :D
