he took over Nottingham Forest got them in play offs and was touted as the next big thing and a great young talented manager, season after takes Forest down and disapeers last i heard he had been sacked by Rushden & Diamonds think he may have been at Grays Athletic too fell from grace quick from a future Premiership manager to a average Conference manager in 3/4 years

I believe he is the director of Youth Operations at Portsmouth.
I remember Hart playing for SWFC in the mid 80's. I wasn't a big enthusiast but at one time, he was on short-lists for 'bigger' managerial posts but didn't seem to succeed. He may be excellent in his present role?

He falls into the catagory of a good coach but NOT a good manager, along with:
Sammy Lee
Brian Kidd
Carlos Thingy (Man Utd Coach)
Tony Adams
Steve Mclaren!!!
And many more, just because they were a good player doesnt mean they will make it as a manager......just look at Bryan Robson!

I loved the arty pictures he used to do on "Vision On" back in the 1970s.

I think Hart is slightly different; I don't know him but I've heard him giving interviews and I think he's a decent guy whose had a few unjust kicks in management. He wasn't a great footballer, more journeyman, and his strength seemed to be with Youth football coaching. Interesting after being upgraded to manager, he's reverted to the younger end where I suspect he has much to offer.
Just read a piece from Sir Clive Woodward about his experiences at Southampton. He says that many players have closed minds and don't really want to listen to innovative ideas. Some showed no interest whatsoever. I would be inclined to think there'd be some:"Who did you play for and at what level?", posed by some players. The "we know best, you can't tell us anything", attitude.
May I suggest Paul Hart met with this but received due respect and a receptive audience from younger players, grateful to receive his knowledge, experience and advice?
