Just found this article on the Council website,you can now register to pay your council tax over 12 months instead of 10. But you need to register by the 25th Feb.

That will cover the cost of a few extra pints every month!
top marks for that, I moaned about not being able to pay over a year when I first moved here, looks like my wishes came true. :)

Seems to be only available if you pay by direct debit :sad:

I have just registered on the council website for direct debit of council tax over 12 months instead of 10. Why give them the money early, better in our pockets than theirs.
The extra cash will come in handy.

Then pay each instalment by cash, two weeks late - leaving it not so long enough that they'll send out a warning letter or summons :P

Seriously though, if the City council offered a discount for DD payments, then I would. But they don't so I won't.

I quite like the two month's payment 'holiday' in Feb and March....helps me catch up with wifey's excesses over Christmas ;)

Not for me - I like the benefit of not having to pay it in these two bad earning months of the year (for me) suits me fine :thumbsup:
