View Full Version : Awww...shucks... Alan Coren dies. JoeP 19-10-2007, 11:22 Another one of the old guard go. :( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7052510.stm medusa 19-10-2007, 11:27 Oh dear, we're in another one of those 'more famous dead people of our time' phases. I'll miss his wit on the radio. StarSparkle 19-10-2007, 11:39 Oh no! I'm genuinely sad and stunned to read that. He always seemed to be such a lovely man - that's so sad to think he's not going to be around anymore. :( That's really crap R.I.P. StarSparkle :( ShinyPurple 19-10-2007, 11:58 Oh that's so sad:( R.I.P. samc 19-10-2007, 12:19 He's going to be a voice very much missed especially on the News Quiz. He could always make me giggle. I remember being a young kid and my dad crying with laughter at things he said. I'll miss him on my radio. Thank you Mr Coren for being 1 reason why I turn my radio on. happyhippy 19-10-2007, 14:53 Bugger. A very funny man, who will be sadly missed. Plain Talker 19-10-2007, 16:47 Aww, flippin' healy. Another one gone! Tch! He was a very witty chap. I can see where Victoria his daughter got it from! Phanerothyme 19-10-2007, 18:16 I blame the germans. Or the french. max 19-10-2007, 18:32 Goodbye Alan, you'll be sadly missed. On the plus side, we can look forward to lots of special programmes celebrating his life. purdyamos 19-10-2007, 23:53 For some reason, I've always got Alan Coren and Ned Sherrin mixed up in my head. And now they've died within days of each other. Blimey. There's precious little quality wit about in the media, I'm gutted that we've lost those two. Having also enjoyed his children Giles and Victoria's work in print and onscreen, I will also add my sincerest condolences to them. How lucky they were to have such a stimulating, funny father. :( |
