I know I've been on here before about my website, but I still need help.
All I need is for someone to show me how to start off on Dreamweaver 4 and I can carry on from there.
The problem is I don't have any spare cash to pay anyone for their help, because I've just purchased the latest fast-tanning sunbed. Not cheap.
Please let me know if you can help.

Sorry, are you offering to pay people with time on your sunbed or something?

I think dreamweaver is one of the easiest web design programs to use. Just play with it, save some ones website and load it into dreamweaver. Just to see how its done but not to use as it will be copyrighted. Just play with it and see what it does.:)

I started with DW & FW MX 2004 and haven't asked anyone a single question. I've managed to build several small but good websites in the last few months. Just play with it, it won't explode!

Try Google for various quick-start tutorials and tips. I also got a few Visual Quick Start Guides on HTML, DW MX 2K4, FW MX 2K4 and Javascript from Amazon, they've helped out no end.

thanx for the advice ;)
Where can I get all the animation from, and how do I apply it?

My best advice would be to try some of the tutorials in Dreamweaver or google for Dreamweaver tutorials. That is by far the best way to learn. I have never been shown how to do anything and have made a few half-decent sites. It just take a bit of pacience at first.

So you've not read any of the advice above then? Try it, you might learn something.

As long as you don't fall into the trap of building a very 'pretty' website with no content in it ;)

I don't particularly like Dreamweaver as I'd rather type in code rather than à-la-Frontpage, but one must admit it's a good soft.
As most seem to agree, like with everything: Play with it, you aren't about to break anything by trying out the software's options ! Learning things is all about experiencing !

I use Dreamweaver so I can do both. You can't do everything "à-la-Frontpage" so I switch between code and design and build the site from roughly 50\50 ish of each method. It's usually easier to drag a link or image in to design view and then manipulate it in the code. YMMV.
