After some flying rat meat for a culinery adventure with friends but have no idea where to start looking to buy from.

Anyone know anywhere that sells pigeon of the dead variety?

I've heard of a place nr eccy rd that sells 'unusual' meats - anyone know its name & location.

Help - need a feathered fix.

Probably the butchers on Sharrowvale road if that helps.

Butchers in Woodseats I think. He seems to have all manner of dead birds hanging outside the shop.

Have you tried Doncaster Fish Market on a Friday?

It's a bird not a fish I hear you all chorus! :P

There are some very unusual creatures of the dead variety for sale there.
Last Christmas we got partridge, wood pigeon, some wild boar & apple sausage & a slab of venison.
 Top dinner I'll tell you!

If you also fancy trying a bizarre sea creature or 2 you won't be disappointed either.

Nice. :D mmm

There is a butcher in Chesterfield whose shop is in one of the units on the outside of the market building and he has 'funny' meats.

Last week it was water buffalo. :gag:

"water buffalo" = "a dead cow I found in the canal".
