Hi,
Am currently looking into doing some stop motion filming but I have no software with which to do it.
Can anybody help me get started and maybe suggest some software for the task??!
Thank you kindly,
Lee

Don't know if this helps but I really liked this work...
SMS (http://www.stopmotionstudies.net/)
I think it was just done with a digital camera and Macromedia Flash.

Do you mean to capture the images? What sort of camera are you using?
Otherwise, you can take a series of stills into Premiere and turn them into an animated sequence.
thanks sammy had a look on that!!!
ncrossland - we have a digital camera and can get them on the PC but just dont have the means of animating them into a sequence. Whats this Premiere thing?? Sounds like what we're looking for - an animation package kinda thing?!?!

Adobe Premiere - it's video editing software. if you have sequentially numbered frames you can automatically turn them into a video. Probably possible in most other video editing software too.
As posted above you can also do it in Flash, and also in Director.
You could look at the ilab at the Site Gallery - they have all these software packages, and you can rent by the hour.
Where is it to be shown (e.g. video, DVD, web)?
cheers mate,
as far as I know it will be on a video/DVD of short clips for a present to someone.
The sequential framing sounds pretty helpful so I'll pass on your advice.
Thanks a lot guys,
Lee
