Caught the end of a program last night on channel 4 'looking 10 years younger' (i think that's what it was called ) - all seemed a bit contrived but got me thinking -

what lengths would you goto to look younger - botox, face lift etc? one of the consultants was saying that you can spend from 2k to 20k getting your teeth fixed/whitened - would you?

Do you look young for your age and if so what's your secret?! and is it really that important anyhow - grow old gracefully?

I watched that show last night. (Actually, I tape it whenever it's on; note to self, get a life!) I thought she looked loads better after all the work she had done, and I didn't think it looked 'false' if you know what I mean.

A couple of my friends had their teeth done by a cosmetic dentist, and I have been dead impressed with how they turned out! I'm considering having mine done because of it! :hihi:

None of them paid more than £3k for the work they had done, and given the results, I don't think thats a bad price!

Grow old gracefull? Lmao!

I fully intend to grow old is DISGARCEFULLY as I can!!

Seriously though, I'd never consider plastic surgey or the likes. Botox makes you look like some kind of mannequin (sp) and there is always the risk that surgery can go wrong.

I'm 36 and so far have no wrinkles!

I thought the results that I've seen looked very impressive until I saw a clip on daytime TV showing what the process entails. I'm not at all squeamish generally & I don't hate going to the dentist but I felt decidedly ill after seeing all the stumpy bits of tooth all bared before all the caps were put on :gag:

I'm all for that :hihi:

I guess that the best part of actually having it done is that you can't see what they're doing to you while you're in the chair! I bet it was horrid to watch though! :gag:

As I say it is up to the individual and if you want it done then go ahead. Personnally I think everyone should be happy with the way they are and just love themselves and do things for yourself not for other people :)

I take it you didn't have a bump put in, and a couple of warts added :D

How long did it take before it looked 'normal' again?

I 'accidently' saw the last two and I've got to admit that the change was incredible! Even allowing for the producers spicing them up / down a little, the transformation was awesome.

I noticed they never have any make-up on in the first scene, and are normally plastered to high heaven by the end. I know that takes at least five years off me... :D

Not sure that I would want to look ten years younger cos then I'd only look eleven and wouldn't get served in pubs :D

Having said that, even when I get older Im just gonna bow down to the laws of gravity and say, "wrinkles bring it on!" I'd much rather look my age when Im 70 then be 70 and look like a freakish plastified cat woman!

Anyway look at people like Diana Rigg, or Joanna Lumley and Honour blackman they still look damn good for their age and I believe they are still natural, and all former avengers!!! I dunno that cheeky Mr Steed must have been slipping em summat in the water :D
