:help:i have a 5000 gallon pond which contains 14 koi diffrent types

i noticed last week that one of the small ones was swimming on the bottom upside down and topsy turvey so i testhed the water and all was good.
so i got the fish out and took it to the koi shop for a scrape and they said it had no parasites and to put it back in the pond with a 50/50 chance.
over the weekend i tested the water again and the ph was slightly off so i added some ph adjuster.
i have woken this morning and there is 2 dead on the bottom the pooly one and a ghost koi :(
after taking the fish and a water sample to the koi shop they just dont know either i really need some help as i dont want to loose all my fish :help:

thankyou sarah xxx

Hi Sarah,I have 12 large koi in a smaller pond than yours, I am just wondering if you have sufficient air circulating, my friend down the road from me lost 3/4 of his large fish last year, virtually overnight when his air lines packed in.The smaller fish were ok because they didn't need as much oxygen.just a thought..hope you get on o.k

thankyou dadoronron i have called a koi labortory today and was told that it could be down to the cloverleaf treatment i put in to kill the blanket weed as they have had quite a few pooly fish after this.
i went to take the 2 pooly ones of the bottom and they was still alive so i have quarintined them but 1 has just sunk on its side and the other is floating on its side.
they advised me not to put anything else like treatments or anything in the pond and to empty a lot of the water out and top up with fresh,so i have just done that.
i have also put this in the disscutions part and have recieved a few replys asking about oxygen.
we did have the pond built by a koi specialist who fitted us a nexus filter and other really good quality equipment but we have decided to buy a air stone tommorow as we are really worried about losing them all.
i just hope the airstone and the changing of water will help.

Is it Koi that suffer from some sort of bladder condition which makes them float upside down?

One of my koi has become really fat over a few weeks. It is now on its side mostly, i think it is dying. Is there any way of making it better? Half of its body has changed to a lighter colour as well.

If you go to this link and scroll down to swim bladder disease, this is the condition I was trying to think of earlier. If you google swim bladder you will get lots of articles too.

Thanks :) It has dropsy. As we don't have a heated pond, is it ok to keep the fish indoors? It seems like its dying so i'm not sure any treatment will help.

Sorry to hear about that. Hope it recovers.

I dont know if you keep them indoors though, but Im sure one of the fish experts on here will suggest something.
