Bus Disruption as Boy 'makes love' to a bus
There was widespread bus service disruption in the Dearne Valley earlier today due to a boy apparently trying to 'make love' to a bus. The youth, described as being between 15 and 17, was waiting for the X78 service near The Star public house when passers by described him as being figity, aggetated and making comments about misallocation.
"He was also making nasty comments about one particular bus company and said that he'd never let them play with his beachballs" said one passer by.
When the bus arrived at the bus stop, the boy was seen to step in front of the causing the driver to break sharply. An X78 regular commented on his actions.
"He just stepped in front of the bus causing the driver to break hard. He souted 'oh i have missed you gemini' and proceeded to hug the windscreen"
Police were called to the scene where they attempted to reassure the boy and persuade him that the the bus didn't mind other vehicle types being on the route. He was taken to hospital by ambulance but only after making the paramedic take him down the X78 route only to then reprimand and report the paramedic for being 2 minutes early.
Buses were diverted during the incident and knock on effects have been felt all day.
