Apparently the bear was frightened over the edge of the bridge by oncoming traffic, but managed to clamber to safety. The little beast was tranquillised and prodded into a suspended net, before being lowered into the valley below :) .

My son is off camping in the Rockies in a couple of weeks, and he has to buy some Bear Spray, which apparently they dislike so it will hopefully deter them from investigating his tent.
