Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows of any classes in the area. I have always wanted to get into crafty bits and now I have graduated i have the time for it. My friend runs workshops in the south but I moved up here and would like to learn how to make pretties. Things like embroidery and batik etc... any tips etc welcome!

Sorry, I don't know of any groups but have you had a good look around the internet? There are loads of step by step instructions on how to do craft things. Is there a particular craft you'd like to try first? Maybe someone on here could give you some pointers? :)

If you look up the art galleries such as the Millenium and Graves there are some classes there. Try the telegraph on a friday there are often classes listed there.
