Anyone know what weeks the year 10s do work experience next year. I've seen a great opportunity for my son but don't know what the dates are. I'm assured they are the same dates for all schools.

Anyway my son's school is Newfield so anyone know the dates for that? Last year it was on the newsletter but this year they haven't mentioned it. I looked up their website but they are still on 2006 with their newsletter. Dizzyblonde 13-10-2007, 13:36 Best phoning school to confirm. Most schools do the same fortnight every year, must be a collective agreement. Meadowhead is always 2nd week after whit just as GCSEs start medusa 13-10-2007, 13:46 Most placements have competition for the places these days and a maximum number of students that will be taken on over the year (if only because of the amount of time and energy it takes to have a work experience placement student around the place). Dizzyblonde 13-10-2007, 20:32 I think some of the schools may be reviewing the whole work experience thing. Its certainly of benefit for some, but a lot of career choices can not be represented by work experience (health care for example) and the cost of insurance if fairly high. |
