What do you do if you used to dream and sleep ok and then all of a sudden the dreaming stops and you find you can't sleep. Any advice out there ....... Or have you all gone to bed?:(

Are dreams and sleep related? How do you get your dreams back...................?

That sounds like stress. Get more excercise, healthier food, and tackle anything that may be bugging you.

Listen to me! If only I'd listen to myself!

I've always had problems sleeping but that's a lot fo do with the fact that I dislike it.

I was going to make a thread earlier about peoples general sleep practises and one of the things I was curious about was if many people actually slept with a something over their eyes or ear plugs.

I sometimes sleep with a beagle under my arm.

I don't like to sleep at all!. If i can have 4 or 5 hours sleep a night, i'm happy.
Sleeping is such a waste of time!. We're not on this planet for long enough as it is, without spending a third of our time asleep.

Those words echo my thoughts precisely.

My sleeping pattern is all over the place at the moment!

I got made redundant on 1st Dec, and since, have not been able to get up before noon unless there has been an interview planned.

It's pissin me off 'cos I'm normally such a conventional sleeper! When I have a routine to my life I'm okay, but now I seem to be nocturnal. Hope it gets sorted soon, cos I got up at 5.15 pm today!

K

And I meant to say; try having a couple of beers / drinks, that should get you off! However. if it goes on for longer than a couple of weeks, go see your GP!

Are these two things related? Are you suffering from a complete lack of sunlight if you're getting up at 5.15? :(

Strix, you are absolutely right!

I got made redundant in Dec, and as a result, have not much structure in my life. Therefore, I am living my life upside down at the moment!

I worked as a manager of a large Call Centre. I have been for loads of interviews, but jobs at my level are few and far between!

I stopped taking my SJW in December to see if it really did make a difference; hence to say I started back on it two weeks ago! I have never felt as tired in my life, and I have been sleeping at least twelve hours a day since I stopped taking it.

That said (before anyone else wades in with their size twelves!) I have still been looking for work everyday. I have not been to sign on yet for two reasons:

I have been almost sure I have been about to get a job all the time I have been out of work. Not lucky yet!

I have never signed on in my life, and am scared / don't know how to

S.A.D. makes life all the more difficult, and am hoping I'll get myself back together soon.

Take care,

Kristian x

Yeah, thanks Strix, I really hadn't heard of that one! (website for jobcentreplus)

Don't know if you've ever been out of work; I haven't in over fifteen years, so it's not something I'm used to.

Forgive me for thinking that everyone has a social conscience. I have paid into the NI system all of my working life by grafting long hours in my role; I have never claimed a pound of benefit whether it be child benefit, job seekers allowance, sickness benefit, maternity benefit, housing benefit etc.

Maybe I should dip out of this 'progressive' society and start claiming? Maybe then I would get a more respectful view?

I hope you have love and success in your future!

People like you are the original basis for the Social Security System we have in this country. The idea originally was to help people through the short lean times - not to provide free handouts for a lifetime to workshy scroungers.

Get your paperwork done - it's an insurance claim really - and you've paid your premium.

Funnily enough I sometimes dream that Im awake but never that I fall asleep in my dreams about being awake which causes sleepless nights where no dreams are available for me to sleep. . . . . if you catch my drift.:|
