Hiya
I wondered if anyone knew anything about CRM software? We are a fairly small organisation and currently all our contacts are held on Microsoft Outlook but we need to become more sophisticated in the way we use this info. The other factor is that the majority of our contacts are goverment departments, local authorities etc and obviously there is a lot of change so need some way of regularly updating this info rather doing a trawl. I'd also need the software to fully integrate into our email etc
I've looked at Raiser's Edge but that seems a bit like overkill for what we actually need.
Any ideas welcome!

Sugar (http://www.sugarcrm.com/crm/)is a possibility. I have it as a default option on the webspace reseller package I use for clients. Not used it myself as such - just had a play!

I have Outlook 2007 with the optional Business Contacts module as well. It might be up your street though, and wouldn't mean additional software to keep track of!

How many computers do you have in your organisation? It may be viable to introduce a Small Business Server which comes with Microsoft Exchange and would give you the functionality to share and manage contacts either in Exchange shared folders in Outlook or via SharePoint which is a type of Intranet site.

If you would like more information or are interested in a meeting to discuss how we might be able to help please PM me.

I know I used a package called GoldMine (http://www.goldmine.com) some time ago when I worked for a software company. Its more sales orientated but very configurable. I know PC Format gave it top marks (back then).

If you are looking for support style software, RoyalBlue is good, although I think that was the name of the company not the software.

I'm a Microsoft Visual FoxPro (database) programmer. I could write you something really simple to do exactly what you want. I have 13 years experience of database programming in industry.
You tell me what data you need to store, how you want to update it and also how you want to use it with Outlook and I'll see what I can do.

I've looked at and installed web based CRM systems for clients. Sugar is very good. There is a free CRM that we've implemented as well. I'd be happy to demo to you but I'd need to know more about your business and requirements. E-mail me for more info.
