Just a quick note.
The schools in our city need people to be governors, people that care what happens to the future generations. Yes it's unpaid, & involves giving up a small amount of your time, but it is rewarding.
If you want any further details send me a pm & I'll get some more info to you.
Thanks

Been a govnor isn't about controling kids, it's about being involved in their education, putting something back as it were.

It is a fair comment to suggest that if a person has unruly children, they may not be the best person to be a School Governor.

It is also fair to say that if you don't want them as a governor .... stand yourself!

I was a governor at a junior school where my lads went. Its very fulfilling knowing some of the decisions you madeas a governor has improved the school and it continues to flourish

I fully intend, and always have, to be involved in my child's school when he starts at one. I think it is a good thing to offer your support to your child's school, and also to have a say.

This is another one of those gross generalisations which is highly inaccurate. Would the term 'YOU' apply to these people?
