Does anyone know off any specialist shops that sell running shoes in Sheffield?
I heard about one in Attercliffe - does anyone have any details?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Are you talking track shoes with spikes or those for fell running/marathons?

See. I knew it wouldn't be straight forward that's why I want to go to a specialist shop.

I want them for general running - roads and paths etc. so I don't want spikes.

I can recommend Keep on Running, Attercliffe Rd. I think they are the only specialist shop in Sheffield.

There also used to be Runnercare just up from where Red Gates used to be.

Thanks for the replies.

'Keep on running'' looks like the place I'm after.

Hi Everybody - thanks for the walk down memory lane!
I opened the Runnercare store on Furnival Gate after finishing university in 1987.
Pete Flatman from Hull owned it & I managed it for him. What a great bunch of staff we had there. I often wonder what happened to them.
What a thrill it was to provide a great service to the running community in Sheffield!
If you're out there, drop me a line.

A great new store on Attercliffe Road has opened.
Great service, best gait analysis I have ever experienced and plenty of choice.
It's a large store, very airy and the staff all belong to local clubs.
The shop is called Accelerate. www accelerateuk com

Well worth a visit as they know what they are talking about.

Best Running shop in sheffield by far is Keep On Running been using them since 1993. A wide range of road shoes and off road shoes with very friendly staff. Although no longer have The old timer Mike Theobald - He seems to have coached the staff very well. Defo recommended.

Try "She runs He runs" opposite WH Smiths in Meadowhall.

she runs he runs is ok but not really an out and out specialist. probably alittle more fashion orientated with alot of nike and adidas. Also the staff seem to be changing all the time. Ive been in a few times but never dealt with the same staff. At least with Keep On Running all the staff have been there for at least 3 or 4 years I think.

Try Up and Running on Church Street. I got my running shoes from their and they were really good.
