This is a quite vauge thread but if anyone knows of places that need volunteers I would be interested. I'd probably be more suited to childrens activities, youth work or working with people with disabilities. I have trawled the internet but as usual it offers numerous random search results!!
South Sheffield would be more suited if that helps and, as I am a full time student (aged 27) I would be free for more weekend activities than week days.
I don't mind of its helping with day trips, outdoor pursuits etc.
I have a current CRB check too.
Any advice, tel numbers or websites would be appreciated.
Thanks

Beat me to it. The voluntary and community sector in Sheffield and South Yorks is huge.

Hi,
Both Sheffield University and Sheffield Hallam have volunteering agencies too. Sheffield's is www.sheffieldvolunteering.info and Hallam's www.hallamunion.com/activities/volunteering

You should have no problem finding something with either of these (assuming you go to one of the above)! There are also opportunities (through U of Sheffield's at least) to set up your own scheme

Good luck x
