I think it's a bit stupid, no a LOT stupid, must be too old for that kind of stuff.

Very good program not only for the ladies but even us men can sit and enjoy it thus getting brownie points with our other halves

surely it's aimed at men?

The title may be, but the content is mushy tripe, which does tend to be a female thing (not that all women are into that, just more women than men).

that'll teach me to judge a book by it's cover.

and there was me thinking that it was all sex, sex, sex as the 4 or 5 scantily clad and provocatively posed 'housewives' on the advert seem to imply.

well I like it. its just a bit of fun. kinda Sex and the City got married and moved to the suburbs. not anywhere near as good as Sex and the City but you get the idea.

Yeah I thought that. Thought I'd check it out as write ups said it was sex and the city crossed with six feet under (two of my favs). The voice over is sooo SATC!

I started watching this and although I think it's a bit OTT at times, I think it's pretty funny. They keep revealing intriguing snippets of storylines which keep me watching to see what's going to happen next.

comedy is a bit girly, but it still beats the hell out of most similar programs. It has sex, death and intrigue!!

It's better than SATC, they're less shallow and self obsessed but it's still funny and I want all their houses!!!

Yeah, I think this is great. It's light hearted and funny, it's one of the few good things on the box at the mo.

Think its good fun to watch but can't really see where its going, love the colours ie. the clothes they wear and the gardens.

They're not desperate - they are all after young, fit, rich blokes. If they were desperate they'd have anyone.

Yes, however they are all desperate in their own way; did you see the episode called 'If you can do that, I can do better?'

PS I am in LOVE with Bree Van De Kamp. Please! Nobody tell Peter! XX

I think it is brilliant too and i also like Bree the best ever since this line at the dinner table

'My husband cries when he ejaculates'

Quality, and my boyfriend and his mates really like it. Its the one program we can all agree on!

My favourite line was

'Lynette, I know good help is hard to find, but to steal another family's nanny is just unseemly!

Go Bree!

but i do need to say - is it just me or does Terri Hatcher look really rough ? whats that all about ?

babygem

Yeah, what was with that tacky blue floaty babydoll thing when she looked to have a nice set of undies on underneath!! She's too skinny and always looks tired to me!

Kristian
07-03-2005, 11:04
What? She's a stunner! She hasn't aged in ten years either; look back to the days of Superman!

I thought Terri Hatcher was looking quite good, ah well. But then I never watched Superman so I can't recall what she looked like back then.

DH keeps growing on me and now I'm completely hooked. I love it.

Yeah, she does seem to look younger than when she was Lois Lane which tends to be the case with all *celebs* these days! She's just kinda skinny and looks knackered all the time!

Lea1979
07-03-2005, 11:32
i really don't want to bitch about celebs looking like crap as its nice and normal, however (!!), she does seem to be very wrinkly when she smiles and does always look like she needs a good nights sleep. i think compared to how she has such a good figure it looks out of place.

i do like the programme but it just seems to be getting a little slow a predictable for the last couple of episodes.

well before this gets into a whole heap of trouble I would like to saay if you like DH them you will love DLM as the executive writer is the same guy.

Then getting back on track with DH, here's some quotes

Bree: (Shouts upstairs) Andrew, Danielle, daddy's going to fornicate for us!

Mary Alice: Susan had met the enemy. And she was a slut.

Lynette: I know someone, who knows someone, who knows an elf. And if any of you acts up, so help me, I will call Santa and tell him you want socks for Christmas! Alright, are you willing to risk that?

Yao Lin: I don't like lies.
Gabrielle: Yeah, well I don't like your ironing. So there.

Is DLM on TV in the UK yet?

It starts on the 15th March - I saw the trailer for it recently and it is so rubbish - they have put in all the bits that are not very funny - well Mason sliding down the seat isn't very funny if you don't know what happens before then you are a bit stuffed but loads of good things happen :D

...anyway back to DH. Gabriella visits Carlos in prison, Susan finds Jake in her house after a calling on Mike for a dirty afternoon. Bree's husband (his name escapes me for the moment) is having a long time affair with Maisy Gibbons and Bree finds out about it. Lynette wants to make sure that the au pair is doing a good job by putting a camera in her house and Evie gets worried that she hasn't seen Mrs Hoober for a while...I think it is two days ;)

try http://www.tvtome.com/DesperateHousewives/guide.html - they have a detailed blow by blow guide to each episode!! E4 is a week before channel 4, so the one where Gabriella visits Carlos in Prison is to be shown on Channel 4 this week and was shown on E4 last nigth and last wednesday. Hope that helps!!
