i'm looking for a venue for a party in mid-february - perhaps a private room in a bar in town? we need enough space for around 150 people, DJ etc - anyone know of anywhere that works for events like this? do revolution/forum have private areas?

The forum does, also vodka revolution in the west one complex has an upstairs room that u can hire out- whith decks and everything- same goes with matrix!!

Sharkeys bar has a large area upstairs that can be hired out. I spoke to the manager about hiring it out, and he was very helpful. Said we could have it free, they would provide a DJ if we wanted and would do some drinks offers. Didn't go for it in the end (long story) but sounded great. Think he said up to 200 people, but not sure about that.

Once went to a private party in Halcyon too. Was just in main bar area, and think the way it worked was that until about 10 it was invitation only, after that if there weren't enough people there they opened it as usual to whoever wants to come in, invited or not. Wasn't the best arrangement!

i dj'd a party at Halcyon last tuesday, very nice venue and you can hire it out all night exclusive, i have contact name and number its a nice little venue and 150 would fill the place well.

you can have private parties at the york in broomhill. i went to one a few weeks ago and it was a really good set up.
