can anyone please tell me at what age a child can legally sit in the front seat on a booster cushion,many thanks.

Well, it looks like 'over 3' is the answer. I'd use common sense and have them travel in the back in my car though. It's further from the windscreen, and those nasty air bags which explode at child face height. It doesn't take much to set one of those off either.

I know that you asked about legality and that has been answered correctly above.
May I draw attention to to the recommendation and advice that the the booster cushion only becomes a suitable child restraint for children over 22kg (over 6 years).
