Can folks tell me what the Earl Marshall is like? I'm looking for real ale / food type pubs in stumbling distance of East Bank Road.

I've tried the seach engine, and there seems to be loads of info on the Earl on Queens Road, but very little on this one.

Can anyone help with this or other pubs in that area?

I've not lived round there for many a year but it was always a real ale desert. If I were you I'd walk down the hill, turn left along East Road and head for the Sheaf View.

Not the sort of pub you'd want to go for either. Unless you're lookin for trouble?
