If you are saving up for a holiday or something similar, here's how to cut your food bill down to zero ( for a limited period).

Go into a chip shop and ask how much chips are.

The answr will be something like, 90 pence.

Then ask how much chips and scraps are.

The answer will be the same.

Then announce that you have no money, so could you just have the scraps.

The only problem is, you can only get away with it a couple of times before they get wise - and the chip-shops get further away so your petrol bill soars to unprecedented heights.

I hope this is useful.

But eating nothing but scraps will have you in Coronary Care long before the trip to Skeggy comes to fruition :hihi:

And another fab thread reinstated!

Ahhhh....I miss Sam. I'd hoped that he would return when things had settled for him. :(

But I like any method of food scrounging based on Boolean Logic.... :)

A similar approach is to ask for the price of Fish AND chips.

Now, we can write this as Fish AND Chips = £4.50 (for example)

In Boolean logic, one only gets a True answer when all of the items in the AND clause are also true...

So....

If we just have Chips, with no Fish, Chips is True, Fish is False, therefore Price = False = Nothing.

Ergo...free chips.

:D

I should note that this is only suitable for people with a poor sense of self-preservation or a desire to meet an untimely end at the hands of an irate fish-frier!

I think it's easier just to shoplift in the big supermarkets

Go in supermarkets, and have all the free bits of cheese on the counter
